We all are aware about the extremely low Carbon Footprints of Stainless Steel production. There are few other facts that support the fact that Stainless Steel is GREEN :
- Stainless Steel is one of the world’s most recycled materials. The fact behind is that the stainless steel is 100% Recyclable. Ultimately, less ore is depleted from the earth’s crust for Fe, Cr, Ni etc. Adding to the sustainability.
- Stainless steel products last for a very long time, usually many decades. That means they are reusable. No need to go looking for fresh supplies for a long time; reduction in minning.
- No corrosion on stainless steel products, so no pollution of the environment by corrosion. Moreover, Paints are usually needed for protection of substrates but it is not needed for austenitic stainless steels.
